... little gray box ...
I was trying to create something less girlie when I made this. I got inspired by my stack of ABC scrapbook paper that's all black and gray and white. I think the glitter makes it less masculine, but I still love it. I don't know what I'm doing w/ it yet. I already made one for the hubs to put on his desk. It's boring though... I did put some pics of the kids on the front. . .

... twin girls ...
So... my friend, Erin, is due to have twin girls next month. She told me she's liking pink & orange for their room decor.... I'm supposed to be making cute name frames for them, but have been a bit lazy thus far. Anyhoo... I did make her shower card in pink & melon berry and I love how it turned out! She e-mailed me last night and asked if I'd make her announcements that looked like this! Yippee --- I totally will!!!!
Um... details - the footprints are an old TAC set I've had forever. The b/g words and rattle are TAC and PTI. I thought it needed softening, so I stamped the little white dots and then added really tiny white dots using my white sharpie. I also spruced up the rattles w/ the sharpie. I think that's it. Ribbon is from The Ribbon Retreat - it's satin on BOTH sides.

... bella time ...
Has it been a while since I've made or posted a bella card? Seems like it has. . . So, I've got two for you today!
This first one uses Daisybella - she's so cute! I added some glitter to her flowers... The polka-dotted strip is actually sticky fabric tape? Something like that -- it's been in my drawer forever.
Next, is bikerbabeabella. Sorry for the bad coloring. I tried to brighten it up, and it probably looks worse now than before. Oh well. Super simple - I didn't even add a sentiment to it.

Cowboy Birthday
Hi friends! Okay, I'm sure you don't need this many pictures of my latest project. But since I took 'em you'll get to see 'em!
My dear friend, Nichole, called to see if I could whip up some first birthday invites for her nephew, Landon. They were planning a COWBOY themed party - eeeeeep! I couldn't wait to make them! I knew I'd be using my PCS Billy set. . .
I didn't have enough of the background paper to make them all, so I found some coordinating colors that would work...

... baby box ...
Hello friends! Have I mentioned that I love Lauren's templates? I really do. I've gotten quite a few of them. I think my favorite thing about them is the samples they show you that you can't see anywhere else!
So - today, I'm sharing a little box I made using "from the desk of" - yes, again! I probably already blabbed about the samples, too, so sorry 'bout that.
Anyhoo - this could be for a baby girl or boy. I've since gotten some baby wash & lotion and put inside (after wrapping it w/ cute polka dotted paper & a ribbon). Two of the regular sized bottles fit *perfectly* in here.
First is a view of the inside. I'm a wee bit bummed that you can see the dotted score lines, but I probably could've covered those if I made my liner paper a bit wider... This is the stuff you tweak along the way.

... little girlie cards ...
So, it takes me forever to take pictures off my memory stick. I'm just such a procrastinator about it! Then *editing* the pictures so they look cute before putting 'em on here. I dunno - I guess I'm busy or lazy, or both?
Lately, I've been taking the kids to an hourly drop-in daycare on Mondays. Well, I used to take them so I could workout, but I've totally fallen off that wagon. So, now I take them every Monday so I can have a little ME time.
Anyhoo - I've got stuff to share... Hope you like!
I used Lily and Tweet for both of these cards. I actually had FOUR little girl birthdays to make cards for during the month of April - the other two are similar, but I didn't get a picture before popping them in the mail.

... quilt card ...
Happy Earth Day & Birthday to my brother, Erik.
I made this card a while ago and just found it in a folder on my computer. I used the houndstooth embossing folder on textured cardstock and it turned out pretty cool. I *had* to have the quilt additions from PTI and this was the first and only time I've used them! I hate that!!! Sentiment is from an old hostess SU! set...

... new timeless template ...
I've been loving the templates from PTI lately - Lauren does such a cool job coming up w/ neat ones and making them so easy to follow! I think part of what I love most is that you get 5 neat ideas that you never see on anyones blog!
So - I ordered "from the desk of" the other day and couldn't wait to create with it! First, I'll show you the coordinating cards I did.
I used PTI's Green Thumb set and some patterned paper that I have no idea where it's from - just been in my stash a very long time... Spring Moss ribbon and buttons - from my "pink" drawer, so not sure where they came from either...
Two more similar cards to put in the box.
Next is my fave - I like that those little crystals fit perfectly inside (and that I remembered to use them!).

The main color I used is Berry Sorbet. Which - for the longest time I didn't buy. And then, even when I finally bought it; I didn't like it. I don't know why. I am a huge fan of pink, but this was more salmon-y, and I couldn't bring myself to use it. Well, I picked the patterned paper first and wanted to find a good match and berry sorbet was PERFECT.
Here is the finished box! I should've taken another angle, too, but was in a hurry. . . I tied it w/ berry sorbet & spring moss ribbon.
Well, I'm tired, even though is barely after nine! Hope you're all enjoying warmer weather! It was 75° here today!

... happy april & kettos ...
Happy April 1st! Spring weather is nearly here! Today has been rainy, but this weekend looks like it will be nice....
I made these cards a few weeks ago - right after my new KETTOS arrived! My friend, Amber, and I each got 2 so we shared some.... I got Ivy Ketto and Mismatch and she got Charlotte and this gal (I'm forgetting her name at the moment).
Here's my quick & easy pink ketto card. She's soo cute. I really ought to just make stacks and stacks of cards w/ these images when I get them so I feel like I've gotten my monies worth....
Also - I ordered 2 sets from My Cute Stamps that came in the mail yesterday. I'm hoping to make some Easter cards before we leave for Maryland & Ohio this weekend....Saturday, March 28, 2009
... baby shower bella ...
Good morning! So. . . my brother-in-law's girlfriend is due to have a baby boy in May and the shower is next weekend (in Ohio). I'm not going to make it, so I sent this card and some baby goodies....
Here is a picture of one of the baby goodies.... I painted a PTI egg box and decorated it w/ the baby's name and some spring rain polkda dotted paper. Inside are a few onesies, but I am thinking the new mommy & daddy can use it to save stuff like the hospital bracelet, the hat they put on him after he's born, the card from the bassinet at the hospital.
I also sent a gift that my friend made called a fancy fanny - I didn't think to take a picture of it! She covers travel sized baby wipe containers w/ cloth and puts a trim around the edge. It's really cute - I asked her to make a John Deere one for them.
Well, I think that's enough rambling for today. It rained all night here, so let's hope for a warm dry day! =)

... valentine goodluckabella ...
Gosh -what's up w/ me posting THREE days in a row? Craziness... Anyhoo - I've been browsing my pics and noticed that there are cards I've never posted - yikes! I made this one for Valentines Day using the goodluckabella - I joked to my hubby that they were flowers, not shamrocks!
So, my new PTI order will be here any day. I can't wait to see that pink in PERSON!
Oooh - and this Saturday I am heading to a "Scrap N Chat" from 9am till 5pm. Eight hours of stamping and chatting w/ NO KIDS! A day of bliss! I can't wait.
One more thing - I was browsing WalMart and saw they had some beading stuff on clearance for 50¢! Nichole Heady inspired me w/ her Mothers Day bracelet & tin to make something neat, so if I accomplish something good, I'll post it! =)

... nephews birthday ...
My nephew, Alex, turned 11 last month and this is the card I sent him. He likes orange, and I couldn't reallly bring myself to use ONLY ORANGE, so I opted for Pumpkin Pie! I love how it turned out. I used a quickie glue pen on the eyes and sprinkled some Martha Stewart glitter over them so they'd match the card. This was one of those sets that I HAD TO HAVE when it first came out, but I hardly use it. I gotta fix that!
Have a great day! Happy St. Patty's day....
