... long notes ...

I made these note pads a couple weeks ago. I took a letter-sized pad of paper and had Staples cut it in half length-wise and covered it w/ cardstock like a book, wrapped the top of the note pad in coordinating paper and decorated the fronts. I also made mini versions of these for my girlfriends at Christmas, but never took pics of them. I have a few that I made for Valentine's Day that I'll post soon.

... tagged ....

Hey there! My friend, Susan, tagged me about a week ago (I'm very slow about these things).

Here's how it goes:
1. Link to the person who tagged you (as I did above).
2. Mention the rules.
3. Tell 6 things about yourself.
4. Tag 6 other bloggers by linking to them.
5. Go to each person's blog and leave them a comment to let them know they've been tagged.

So... 6 things about me:

1. I love Hannah Montana - her TV show and her music.

2. I tell each of my kids that they are my favorite child.

3. I eat super fast... um - this one is really weird, but I guess having so many kids, it's the only way I'll get to eat.

4. I love diet vanilla soda. I'm grouchy b/c both coke & pepsi quit making theirs!! Now I've bought the syrup and have to make my own...

5. My favorite day of the week is Monday b/c that's when my hubby and kids go back to work and school!

6. I talk a lot - to EVERYONE whether I know them or not...

Whew - that only took me half the morning to finish. So, I'm going to be lazy and not tag 6 people, because I don't have all day... Feel free to post 6 random things about yourself if you have the inclination! =)

... Kyle's 6th Birthday invites....

My second-oldest son, Kyle, is turning 6 in a few weeks, and we are having his party at a gymnastics place. I have no gymnastics stamps whatsoever- and it's really more of jumping and tumbling and doing fun obstacle course stuff, so I let Kyle choose whatever stamp he wanted for his invite. His main requirement was the color purple. So, I gave little Billy here a purple suit and added some purple accents and voila - he's done... The sentiment I printed off.

... Lauren's Saturday Sketch ...

I was browsing Lauren's blog this morning and saw the sketch she posted yesterday and thought it looked pretty neat, so I sent my good friend, Amber, a message and said - you wanna try Lauren's sketch w/ me? She said sure and we got busy... Here is what I came up with....Oh - the sketch is 'mytimess20'. I used SU!s birthday beauty - I just adore her. PTI's spring moss. Striped paper is from basic grey... I used my quickie glue pen and Martha Stewart glitter again on her...

EXPECTING!!!

My dear friend, Nichole, asked me to whip up a card for her neighbors who just found out they are expecting... Here is the card I "whipped up" last night....
I used the basic grey 6x6 sultry paper - LOVE IT. Image is from stamping bella - charm is from walmart... sentiment from M's $1 spot.

My all-time favorite blogger (MISH) made a card not too long ago that I LOVED. Well, gee, every card she makes I adore... But this one I actually decided to try to make... Anyhoo - here's my version... Hope you like.

Colors - sweet blush, spring moss; stamps from CTMH and SU!.

chichi fairy

Oh, I sure do love these fairies! I needed a super simple card, so made this one-layer card last week. I got an assortment of Martha Stewart glitter for Christmas, so outlined her wings w/ my quickie glue pen and sprinkled on the glitter. I love how it turned out....

new home cards

My friend, Nicki, just moved in to a new house a couple days before Christmas and I told her I'd make her cards that said we've moved.... It gave me an excuse to buy the Boards & Beams stamp set from PTI! =) So - since it was close to Christmas, I used some holiday paper from Basic Grey. Here is one of the cards (each of them used a different b/g because I didn't have all the same). I did use Always Artichoke for my base on all the cards. That gold "ribbon" strip is actually paper that I got in the Martha Stewart section of Walmart - they had a pack of pink, white and gold for less than $2! Way easier than cutting them out myself. Here is the card I made to give her - it uses the other house in the set.
Can you see I love using buttons lately?!

Crossfit...aka XFIT

Hey girls... So, you know I haven't been blogging a whole lot and I'm working on that. BUT, I wanted to share with you the workout program I've been doing since the beginning of November. If you're my friend, you've heard me blather on incessantly about this already (and I think I did mention it once when I first started). Anyhoo - it's now been just over 2 months since I started and I've seen huge changes and love how I'm looking. I've gone from a size 10 (that were getting snug) to a loose-ish fitting 8. I'm down 12 pounds and weigh a few pounds less than when I got preggers w/ the twins. I don't have a specific goal weight or size, I figure I'll plateau eventually. Anyhoo - here's a little example of a workout (this is what I did on Friday). Ran 800 meters (~1/2 mile), 50 back extensions, 50 sit ups - REPEAT THREE TIMES. Yikes - it was harder than I expected and it took me 24 minutes to complete three rounds, but I'm definitely noticing that my abs are firmer after Friday!

I even made myself a XFIT journal - I'll snap a picture of it and upload it soon - I used the barbella stamp from Stamping Bella.

thank you notes

Hey friends - well, I'm trying to blog more! Here are 4 thank you notes I wrote to send friends & family back home for Christmas gifts. This shimmery paper is actually part of one of my gifts, so I had to use it -- matches perfectly w/ the PTI Ocean Tides (my current favorite color of theirs). I went a little button crazy on that bottom left one. ;-)

Happy New Year!!!

Hey friends and bloggers ~ Sorry it's been two months since you've heard a peep out of me! Life has been super crazy and I'm hoping to be back into the swing of things now. I'm making a resolution to be a better blogger in 2009! Wish me luck....
